Children & Youth are an integral part of Community of Christ. We want to provide safe spaces where they can get to know Christ and develop their own relationship with God.
All activities are planned, organised and run by registered youth workers with current DBS and up-to-date safeguarding training certificates.
Community of Christ has a well-established youth camping programme which has been running for over 50 years. It provides indoor and outdoor fun activities, discussions, campfires and worships for young people to enjoy with others their own age. Some events are held locally, many at our youth and retreat centre in Herefordshire.
For over 50 years Community of Christ has sponsored annual holidays for children and their families who can most benefit from a break at its retreat/youth centre, Dunfield House. There are 15 acres of woodland, streams, and grassy banks to explore plus a heated indoor swimming pool, multi-purpose recreation hall, outdoor football/volleyball pitch and even a disc golf course. The holidays are led by members of Community of Christ with input from the families themselves. The annual break is fully funded for up to 30 people including staff and travel costs.
Some of those who have enjoyed time at Dunfield include foster families, low-income families, those from Children’s Centres, families who have suffered bereavement of a parent and families with children who have special educational needs and disabilities.
Peacemobile is an exciting way for children to develop peace-making skills and awareness through play. It is a transportable, interactive set of themed activities with all the resources needed to plan & host 4 fun sessions.
