All are welcome in COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Helping people connect with the spiritual, each other, and Christ’s Mission.
Upholding the worth of person, sacredness of creation, and just peace for all.
Meet the Team
Andrew and Jewell are an international couple living in Leicester. They have joy in their garden allotments, grandchildren and serving both in Community Connections and the Leicester congregation.
Rachelle is a teacher from Australia who now lives on the south coast with teenage son Ayden.
Leon is from the Midlands and a busy parent to 6-year-old Evie.
Karen is originally from the States but lives in the UK now with husband Jack. She loves her work as a youth advocate.
Richard travels the country with his work meaning he can pop in on church friends and members who don’t live near a congregation. He lives with his extended family in the South West caring for retired horses and a very untidy garden!
What is online worship like?
Our worships vary from week to week. Sometimes we have short worships called Sacred Pause. Other times we have guests share their story of how they came to follow Jesus or how God’s loving Spirit has been with them in difficult, dark times. We host an interfaith discussion several times a year called Belief in Dialogue. We also host peace celebrations and join with some British Isles worship events for example at Mission Centre Conference. After worship we enjoy chatting with each other.
Who am I meeting with?
Our congregation began as on online worship in May 2019. It is based in the British Isles but has been blessed by becoming international.
How do I connect?
Getting Online: You will need a Zoom link. Fill out the contact form below, we’ll send you a link where you can simply and quickly download the app that runs Zoom.
Connecting: At our meeting time just click on the Zoom link and you will be connected straight through to our virtual meeting room.
Meeting Etiquette: You can join with video and audio or if you’re more comfortable, audio only. As with any online meeting we invite you to mute yourself once the worship starts so we can all hear clearly. There is plenty of time before and after the service to unmute and chat with others.
Recordings: Occasionally we record our meetings but you will have the opportunity to turn off your video setting if you don’t want to be seen.
